On September 3rd, eBay celebrates 30 years. And Remarkably is proud to have been part of the moment.
We helped bring their anniversary to life on some of the world’s biggest stages — including Nasdaq Marketsite in Times Square, where the opening bell ceremony and our 30-second film made eBay’s legacy impossible to miss.
The creative brief was simple but challenging: capture 30 years of eBay in a way that felt nostalgic, current, and future-facing all at once. Our answer was to lean into cultural moments — the things people love that have defined generations.
Each one isn’t just a product. It’s a cultural touchpoint. And when fused together, they tell a story only eBay can tell: a marketplace where cultural history is bought, sold, and kept alive.
Our film had to work without sound — a rally cry made visual. And our storytelling had to balance gratitude with ambition: honouring the sellers and buyers who built eBay, while calling forward to the next 30 years.
At Remarkably, we believe remarkable brands aren’t just noticed. They’re remembered. And on its 30th anniversary, eBay reminded the world why it matters.
Happy 30th, eBay. Here’s to the next chapter. Here’s to more of Things.People.Love.
